VIRTUOUS Project Engages University Students in Thessaloniki
In October 2025, the VIRTUOUS Project was presented to students at the American College of Thessaloniki (ACT) during a session of the “World Religions” class, led by Professor Nikos Dimitriadis.
The presentation introduced students to the project’s objectives, including safeguarding places of worship, promoting interfaith dialogue, and enhancing community security. Through interactive discussion, students explored how VIRTUOUS fosters collaboration among diverse faith communities and develops practical approaches to protect religious sites.
The session provided an opportunity to engage the next generation in topics of religious tolerance, social cohesion, and security in an increasingly complex global environment. Students actively participated in Q&A discussions, reflecting on the importance of protecting sacred spaces as a means of safeguarding shared humanity.
By connecting with students and academic communities, the VIRTUOUS Project strengthens awareness, encourages informed dialogue, and inspires future leaders to support interfaith cooperation and community resilience.
