VIRTUOUS Launches Micro-Learning Video Series for Religious Communities
The VIRTUOUS project has launched a series of 16 videos aimed at helping religious communities recognise and report suspicious behaviour, without resorting to fear-based messaging.
Developed under Task 5.3 of the project, “Micro-learning material for religious communities,” the campaign is designed to give faith communities practical, accessible guidance: what to look out for, and how to report it, in a way that is clear and empowering rather than alarming. The videos feature a diverse range of voices including religious leaders, architects, security experts, and law enforcement agents, combining first-hand insight with practical instructions and guidelines that communities can put into practice.
By bringing together such a broad mix of contributors, the series connects research and operational expertise with the lived perspective of religious leaders and the practical realities of securing places of worship, from the architectural layout of a building to the everyday vigilance of a congregation.
The full series is rolling out now across VIRTUOUS’s social media channels, meeting religious communities where they already are and closing the gap between expert knowledge on countering terrorism and everyday awareness on the ground.
